November 4, 2026 — Powstanie is now accepting retailer orders for the War Bear 2026, the latest release in its annual Wojtek Series. Scheduled for release on November 11, Veterans Day, the 2026 edition marks the most limited War Bear offering to date, with just 390 boxes of 21 cigars available for purchase
The Veterans Day release honors Wojtek, the World War II veteran and legendary bear who served with the Polish II Corps. More than a mascot, Wojtek became an enlisted soldier and helped carry ammunition during the Battle of Monte Cassino. His courage, loyalty and service continue to inspire Powstanie’s War Bear series.
Presented in a 7 x 48 box-pressed Churchill format, the War Bear 2026 features the Wojtek blend and its distinctive barber-pole appearance. Ecuadorian habano and Mexican San Andrés wrappers spiral around an Indonesian binder, complemented by fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
The cigar is produced at Fábrica de Tabacos Nica Sueño S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua, continuing Powstanie’s annual limited-edition Wojtek tradition, which began in 2019.
Retail pricing is set at $16.50 per cigar and $346.50 per box of 21. Retailer orders are now open ahead of the November 11 release.
