Aging Room Marks 15 Years with “Blue Amber” Limited Edition
Aging Room is celebrating its 15th anniversary with Blue Amber, a new limited line that ties the brand’s milestone to a Dominican namesake gem. While the cigars are produced in Nicaragua by A.J. Fernandez, the blend incorporates Dominican-grown leaf—including tobacco sourced near Las Cumbres in the Cordillera Septentrional, the same mountain range associated with blue amber deposits—alongside Nicaraguan tobaccos.
Blue Amber uses a Nicaraguan wrapper grown by A.J. Fernandez over a Dominican binder and a filler combination from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The line will debut in four formats packaged in blue, brass-accented 20-count boxes: Blue Celestar (5 x 58), Blue Maestro Torpedo (6 x 52), Blue Sky (6 x 60), and Blue Turquoise Perfecto (6 x 60). According to the company, shipments to retailers are expected in December, with a preview slated for the TAA meeting in the Dominican Republic. The suggested retail price per cigar ranges from $40 to $43 before applicable taxes.
As a companion release, Aging Room is collaborating with Dennison Watches on a limited timepiece featuring a blue amber dial sourced from the Dominican Republic and an Aging Room logo on the caseback. Production is limited to 225 pieces, each with an MSRP of $1,000.
