Lure Cigars Launches New Maduro Core Line
Lure CigarsTM is proud to introduce its fourth core line: the Maduro Series. Featuring two box-pressed Nicaraguan puros — “The Brown-E-Trout” (6 x 54 toro) and the new “The Lil’ Trout” (5 x 52 robusto). This line expands on the success of last year’s limited release with richer flavor, full production availability, and signature core line packaging.
These cigars feature a delicious dark chocolate brown, maduro wrapper over binder and filler tobacco from Esteli, Condega, and Jalapa. “Following the popular ‘Catch & Release’ of ‘The Brown-E-Trout’ last fall, we’re excited to bring it back as part of a full-production Maduro line,” says Lou Cross, owner of Lure Cigars. “We’ve also added a second vitola, ‘The Lil’ Trout,’ for those who want a slightly bolder, richer smoke — what we like to call a little more ‘loco in the cocoa.’”
"The Brown-E-Trout" returns as a 6 x 54 box press toro, the strength of the cigar is medium, and full of flavor. Your palate will experience notes of chewy, well-done corner fudge brownie, light baking spices, and warm earthy notes. This cigar produces a thick smoke, with velvety mouthfeel. The last third adds a bit of espresso and pleasant hints of dry cinnamon on the finish. “The Lil’Trout” is a 5x52 box press robusto that has been blended to be a slightly bolder cigar that is medium plus in strength. Flavor notes are similar to those enjoyed in the toro, yet there’s a bit more spice, like an added drop of cinnamon oil, that one enthusiast says reminds him of ‘Mexican Hot Chocolate.’
