BLK WKS Unleashes Tigersaurus for 10th Anniversary Celebration
Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) is marking a milestone with the release of Tigersaurus, a bold new limited edition crafted at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Estelí, Nicaragua. The cigar will begin shipping to select U.S. retailers next week, with international distribution—including Europe—following later this month. Tigersaurus will also be featured at InterTabac 2025 in Dortmund, Germany (Booth 4.A24).
The release celebrates ten years of the brand’s acclaimed Tiger Series, which originally began as factory exclusives in Nicaragua before evolving into event-only cigars. Now, for the first time, BLK WKS is offering a limited Tiger release—and it’s the most ambitious yet.
“Over the past decade, the Tiger Series has helped define what Black Works Studio is all about,” said James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Company and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra. “The Tigersaurus represents a bigger, bolder interpretation of the Tiger. It showcases our artisans’ craftsmanship while delivering an intense, complex profile that pairs earthy richness with bright spice.”
The blend features Pennsylvania Broadleaf, Connecticut Broadleaf, and Candela wrappers over an Ecuadorian binder and Nicaraguan fillers, rolled into a 5 1/2 x 48 Corona Gorda. Notes of dark earth and cocoa are layered with contrasting green spice from the candela, creating a unique, dynamic smoking experience. Tigersaurus will be sold in 15-count boxes with a suggested retail price of $19 per cigar.
As with all BLK WKS releases, the project is as much an artistic statement as it is a cigar. “These cigars are an expression of art,” Brown emphasized. “They showcase the talent, technique, and tobacco of our boutique factory, Fabrica Oveja Negra.”
