The 2026 Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival: Bigger, Bolder, and Blissfully Overwhelming
Every year around this time, a small army of cigar smokers descends on Broomfield Co, converges on an outdoor venue that smells faintly of cedar and Cohiba by 11 a.m., and proceeds to spend an entire day proving that the phrase "everything in moderation" was written by someone who has never been handed a free Padrón.
The Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival has become one of the crown jewels of the regional cigar circuit, and the 2026 edition did not disappoint, even in its first year in Wyoming—though it did, on more than one occasion, test the structural integrity of both my shirt pockets and my liver (Ha Ha).
For those who don't know, I'm one of the three hosts of the Beyond the Humidor podcast, and between Scott, Larry, and myself, we've collectively been to more cigar events than most people have been to weddings. So, when I say this year's RMCF was one of the better ones, understand that's coming from someone with a genuinely absurd basis for comparison. Let's get into it.
